Absolute Beginner Line Dance

Monday   6:30 pm – 7:30 pm  (Bay Path Barn)

Wednesday 10:00 - 11:00 am (West Boylston Senior Center)

Intended for those with little or no dance experience, this class focuses on teaching the basics.  You will learn the steps to execute simple, beginner- level dance steps and begin to memorize patterns.  The focus is on fun with slow, patient instruction.  New class begins in June, September, January and March.  Drop-In Fee: $10

 

Beyond Beginner Line Dance

Monday   7:30 pm – 8:30 pm (Bay Path Barn)


For dancers with at least 3 to 6 months line dance experience, this class builds on the basics and introduces more difficult patterns.  The pace is faster than the absolute beginner class and features fewer reviews and walk-throughs.  A new dance is taught or reviewed at 6:30 pm each week.  Drop-In Fee: $10

 

Improver Line Dance

Wednesday   6:30 – 7:30 pm  (Bay Path Barn)

Wednesday 11:00 am - noon  (West Boylston Senior Center)

For dancers with at least a year of line dancing experience, this class introduces more complex steps and patterns.   The pace is faster and there are fewer reviews, with more dancing and less teaching.  Reviews of previously taught dances are done by request.   A new dance is taught or reviewed at 6:15 pm each week.  Drop-In-Fee: $10

 

Low Intermediate Line Dance

Wednesday   7:30 – 9:00 pm  (Bay Path Barn)

Sunday 2:00 - 3:30 pm  (Bay Path Barn)

For dancers with at least three years of line dancing experience, this class introduces more complex steps and patterns.   The pace is faster with more difficult combinations and rhythms.  It is intended for those who enjoy more of a challenge.  Reviews of previously taught dances are done by request.  A new dance is taught or reviewed at 7:15 pm each week.  Drop-In-Fee: $10


 
Intermediate / Advanced Line Dance

Sunday      3:30 – 5:00 pm  (Bay Path Barn)


For dancers who enjoy a real challenge, this class introduces the most complex steps, patterns and rhythms.   The pace is usually fast and the dance patterns are typically much longer.  This class includes reviews of recently taught dances or dances which have not been done for a long time.  A new dance is taught or reviewed at 6:45 pm each week.  Bring your requests!  Drop-In-Fee: $10
 


Absolute Beginner Partner Dance Class*
        (This is the only class that requires pre-registration.  It is scheduled several times a year, generally as a series of four classes held on

         consecutive Sundays from  6:00 – 7:00 pm.  Check the calendar for scheduled classes.)

For individuals who wish to learn pattern partner dances, especially older, classic dances like El Paso, Blue Rose, Shadow, and Wichita Waltz.  The steps and patterns are simple and the dances are typically short.  This class is intended for those with little or no dance experience.  You will learn the basics with slow, patient instruction targeted to the level of the class.

Experienced Partner Dance Class  

Sunday    7:00 – 8:00 pm  (Bay Path Barn)

Intended for partner dancers with three or more years of experience, the pace of this class is faster and the steps, patterns and rhythms are more difficult.  These dances include more turns are typically longer.   Drop-In Fee:  $10

 

Open Partner Dance

Sunday   8:00 – 8:30 pm  (Bay Path Barn)

Following the last partner dance class each Sunday, you will have an opportunity to practice what you already know or what you have learned during previous classes.  Requests are honored, as much as possible, and dancing is targeted to all levels.
